RubricKing Privacy Policy

RubricKing LLC ("RubricKing", "us", "we", or "our") operates the www.RubricKing.com website (the "Service").

This page informs you of our privacy policy (“Policy”) regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to our collection and use of your information in accordance with this Policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Policy, the terms and conditions set forth herein have the same meaning and effect as those contained in our Terms and Conditions.

What is RubricKing?

RubricKing is a website that allows teachers to generate rubrics with which they may assess students and analyze the results. The teacher uses the RubricKing Service to create or import shared holistic and/or analytic rubrics. The teacher can easily calculate an overall score based upon their choice of grading dimension weights and choice over the number and value of the scoring levels within each dimension.

If the teacher uses the paid service, the teacher records student scores, individually or in groups, on assigned rubrics which are analyzed for each student. The teacher is able to quickly see the composition of the student’s score along with analytic data to help interpret student progress. The scores are stored on the server for later review, compliation of longitudinal scoring data, and/or to be download by the teacher.

If the teacher has optionally entered information about their students (limited to first name, last name, student ID numbers, and class), the scoring data may be connected to the student records to enrich the analytics and provide more complete reporting.

In the default configuration this data, scoring data and student information are stored on a central secure server to allow teachers to also use the RubricKing website to more easily report and manage the data.

The teacher’s RubricKing username is required to access the website containing this data.

The RubricKing website is intended for use by the teacher. As the representative of the educational institution, the teacher/user has full access within the application to edit and remove all records stored containing student personally identifiable information and assessment results.
